Los Angeles welcomes a British invasion as we embark on BritWeek! Every Spring, BritWeek hosts a program of events that promotes British creativity, innovation and excellence in California across multiple categories including, film & television, music, art, fashion, design, retail, sport, philanthropy, business, and more. The events take place throughout Greater Los Angeles area. The events  attract support from thousands of people, including international celebrities as well as business and political leaders.

BritWeek takes over the Third Street Promenade to host an exciting festival celebrating all things British.Preview the new F-TYPE Coupe from Jaguar, get red carpet ready with a mini-makeover from Boots, meet the famous British gecko from GEICO, take your pup for a stroll down Walkers Shortbread doggy red carpet, and travel to London with The Times of London and get your picture on the front page of the iconic British newspaper.

Come celebrate the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare with exciting performances, music and dance, children’s workshops and costumes for dress-up, Shakespeare-inspired street art from LA artist Man One, and more,Live performances, including Independent Shakespeare Company, Inner City Shakespeare Ensemble, Luke Barnham, highland dancers, pipe bands, Irish step dancers, harpers, Morris dancers, acclaimed British performer Desi Valentine, leading Los Angeles and UK street artists, Clan Currie Harp Glen, The St. Andrew’s Society will be out on the Promenade, promoting Scottish culture and traditions and more.

In celebration of William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, The Inner City Shakespeare Ensemble in partnership with Britweek, Bafta LA, The Music Center, LA County Parks and Recreation and the LAUSD will be presenting a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Melanie Andrews and produced by Paul Heller and Katy Haber, MBE.
The ICSE is proud to announce that this year it has broadened its horizons and  cast an incredible Ensemble of talented youth from more than a dozen schools within the LAUSD. The ICSE continues its collaboration with industry professionals from around the world, mentoring  students with their understanding of Shakespeare as well as the actual performance process. These one-on-one relationships have enhanced academic motivation, personal development and created lifelong, enduring associations.Please join our Shakespeare Family birthday celebration at Grand Park at 3.00pm for a free performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream.
